Have you ever heard the saying, " Killing With Kindness". Well, we get calls from lovers of plant that are overly loving their plants and killing by over-watering. Plants whether indoors or out can be over-watered which can cause a slew of problems which can be hard to rectify. From plant fungus, to root rot, too many diseases and knats can come a calling. Best advice is give them a drink when they need it most, and then leave them alone and enjoy at a distance. Let them dry down and use up most of the moisture before you water again. All plants have different water needs. But it's a sure bet that most of them are best left to using up the water you gave them and then water again. Some plants don't need watered more than once a month. Others maybe every week. If you are watering them everyday..kiss them goodbye!
Obviously there is much more to it then that, but it's a good place to start. Stay cool. Don't take tender house plants outside this time of year or you will surely regret it.
